(Reuters) - Following is the weather report detailed by India

Meteorological Department.

CHIEF FEATURES

(Based on 0830 hours IST observations)

Eastwards movement of western disturbance has resulted in significant decrease in snowfall activity over Western Himalayan Region during past 24 hours.

With the setting of strong north-north westerly winds, the cold wave conditions are likely to continue for another 2-3 days over most parts of northwest India and Gujarat. They are however likely to abate from Maharashtra during next 24 hours.

Ground frost conditions are also likely over Punjab, Haryana and north

Rajasthan during the same period.
