U.S. STOCKS - Wall St extends gains, Nasdaq up 1 pct
NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks extended gains on Thursday, lifting the Nasdaq up more than 1 percent, as investors snapped up technology shares following an upbeat subscriber forecast from Blackberry maker Research in Motion Ltdjodha.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 60.65 points, or 0.49 percent, at 12,487.91. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 6.30 points, or 0.46 percent, at 1,366.33. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 24.15 points, or 1.04 percent, at 2,351.25.
