Wall St cuts losses after factory data
NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks trimmed losses on Monday after data showing U.S. factory activity in February contracted slightly less than economists had expected, easing some U.S. recession worries.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 36.39 points, or 0.30 percent, at 12,230.00. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 0.61 point, or 0.05 percent, at 1,330.02. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 4.65 points, or 0.20 percent, at 2,266.83.
