Indian shares provisionally end up 0.8 percent

BANGALORE (Reuters) - India's main stock index provisionally rose 0.84 percent on Monday, after having fallen as much as 1.1 percent during trade, with index heavyweight Reliance Industries leading the gains.

The 30-share BSE index provisionally closed 139.85 points higher at 16,876.92, with 22 components rising.

The 50-share NSE index provisionally closed up 0.78 percent at 5,021.30.
