NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Some of Bharti Airtel telephone services in Mumbai have been disrupted due to a fire in a building, a spokesman said on Friday.

"The disruptions are in and around the Lower Parel area, where the fire has taken place," the spokesman said. "Cables owned by our vendors were short circuited."

He expects normal services to be restored "in an hour or so."

The fire in the basement of the building in Lower Parel was likely due to an electrical short circuit, fire officials had said.
