BSE Sensex opens up on budget hopes
MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex rose in early trade on Monday on hopes the government will announce further steps to spur economic growth in its budget later in the day.
By 9.59 a.m. (0429 GMT) the 30-share BSE Index was up 0.70 percent at 15,016.88 with 26 components gaining.
The 50-share NSE Index was up 0.55 percent at 4,448.75 points.
