Axis Bank approves $50 mln note placement

MUMBAI (Reuters) - Axis Bank said on Monday its board had approved a private placement of $50 million of senior notes under its medium-term note programme.

In a statement to the stock exchange, Axis said the placement was done through its Hong Kong branch. It did not say with who it had placed the debt.
