Canada tells CRTC to review ruling on Wi-Fi based providers

OTTAWA, June 5 (Reuters) - The Canadian government said on Monday it was directing the country's telecommunications regulator to reconsider a recent decision to exclude Wi-Fi-based providers from access to roaming services.

Innovation Minister Navdeep Bains said in a speech he was asking the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to launch a new proceeding. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr)
