CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns higher as gold miners rally
TORONTO, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index erased an early loss and moved into positive territory on Friday as Barrick Gold Corp (ABX.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) and other gold miners rallied around record high gold prices.
At 9:42 a.m. (1442 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 8.05 points, or 0.07 percent, at 11,188.75.
Earlier, it fell as much as 82 points on disappointing Canadian and U.S. jobs data. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
