Indian shares up 0.2 pct; L&T rises 1.3 pct
MUMBAI, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Indian shares were up 0.2 percent in early trade on Friday, led by gains in Larsen & Toubro (LART.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) as it sold part of its holding in outsourcer in Mahindra Satyam (SATY.BO: Quote, Profile, Research).
At 9:56 a.m. (0426 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.17 percent at 16,723.15 points, with 20 components advancing. It had open mostly unchanged.
L&T was up 1.3 percent at 1,661.85 rupees, after large block deals in Mahindra Satyam. A L&T source said the company was the seller. [ID:nBMB009078]
