India's Reliance plans aggressive exploration
MUMBAI, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Energy major Reliance Industries (RELI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) plans an aggressive exploration campaign over three years, Chairman Mukesh Ambani said.
"Exploration and production business would give the company a much higher growth trajectory in the coming years," Ambani said at the company's annual meeting with shareholders.
Reliance Industries main businesses are petrochemicals, refining and oil and gas exploration.
In April, Reliance Industries began pumping gas from its find in the Krishna Godavari basin off India's east coast, which is expected to almost double the country's gas supplies at peak production. (Reporting by Pratish Narayanan; Editing by John Mair)
