HCL Tech to acquire U.K.'s Liberata Financial Services
MUMBAI, July 16 (Reuters) - Software services firm HCL Technologies Ltd (HCLT.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday it has signed an agreement to acquire Liberata Financial Services for an undisclosed amount.
The U.K. firm provides back-office administrative and customer services for the life insurance and pension industry, it said in a statement.
HCL will also acquire four delivery centres in the U.K. with 800 professionals, it added.
Ahead of the announcement HCL Tech shares closed up 1.5 percent at 215.35 rupees on the BSE. (Reporting by Janaki Krishnan; Editing by Prem Udayabhanu)
