* Delhi-based Bhushan Steel (BSSL.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) is looking to sell a 5 percent stake to strategic investors for about 4 billion rupees.

* Edelweiss Capital (EDEL.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) and Japanese insurance group Tokio Marine will invest close to $100 million as initial capital to set up a life insurance joint venture.

* Tata Sons, the Tata group's holding company, and Tata Steel (TISC.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) together have sold 21 percent differential voting rights holdings in Tata Motors (TAMO.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) to raise over 6 billion rupees between September and November.

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE (www.mydigitalfc.com)

* U.S.-based automotive mirrors maker Magna Mirrors has sued auto parts maker Motherson Sumi (MOSS.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) and several group firms in a Michigan court alleging patent infringement and non-payment of royalties related to the Indian firm's newly-acquired Visiocorp business.

* IDBI Bank (IDBI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) plans to raise $225 million through a loan in the overseas market.
