Blast near office of Pakistani election candidate
ISLAMABAD, Feb 16 (Reuters) - An explosion occurred on Saturday near the office in northwest Pakistan of an election candidate from assassinated opposition leader Benazir Bhutto's party and some people were hurt, a government official said.
"There was a blast near the election office of the candidate for the People's Party. We have reports of casualties being taken to hospital," said a senior government official in the town of Parachinar, in the Kurram region on the Afghan border.
