European stocks cut losses as Wall Street rises
PARIS, Feb 7 (Reuters) - European stocks cut losses in Thursday afternoon trade but remained in the red as U.S. shares turned positive on a rally in defensives.
At 1522 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 index of top European shares was down 1.1 percent at 1,306.07 points, after falling to as low as 1,285.91 in afternoon trading.
Tech and automakers shares were among the biggest losers, with Infineon (IFXGn.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) down 17 percent, and Porsche (PSHG_p.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) down 4.4 percent.
