US STOCKS-Wall St extends drop after factory orders

NEW YORK, Feb 4 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks extended losses on Monday after government data showed new orders at U.S. factories rose less-than-expected in December, adding to unease about the economy's health.

The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI was down 89.99 points, or 0.71 percent, at 12,653.20. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX was down 12.60 points, or 0.90 percent, at 1,382.82. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC was down 19.32 points, or 0.80 percent, at 2,394.04. (Reporting by Ellis Mnyandu, Editing by Kenneth Barry)
