US STOCKS-Wall St drops on Cisco warning

NEW YORK, Feb 7 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell on Thursday, taking the Nasdaq down 1 percent and further into bear market territory, after network equipment maker Cisco Systems Inc (CSCO.O: Quote, Profile, Research) warned of slowing orders, raising worries about the business spending outlook.

The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI was down 72.19 points, or 0.59 percent, at 12,127.91. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX was down 9.31 points, or 0.70 percent, at 1,317.14. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC was down 25.20 points, or 1.11 percent, at 2,253.55. (Reporting by Ellis Mnyandu; Editing by Kenneth Barry)
