May 31 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan 1600 GMT on Sunday.
FARAH - Afghan and U.S. forces killed 10 militants in Khak-e Sefid district of western Farah province early on Sunday, when they were attacked by insurgents during a combat reconnaissance patrol, the U.S. military said.
Afghan Defence Ministry spokesman General Zaher Azimy put the death toll in Khak-e Sefid at only four, but said another 12 militants were killed in Puhsta-Rud district, also in Farah. (Compiled by Emma Graham-Harrison)
