India's Ambuja Cements Oct shipments up 3 pct y/y

MUMBAI, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Ambuja Cements Ltd (ABUJ.BO: Quote, Profile, Research), India's No. 3 cement maker, on Monday reported October shipments rose 3 percent to 1.464 million tonnes from a year earlier.

The company, in which Swiss cement maker Holcim (HOLN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) holds about 46 percent, said production rose to 1.498 million tonnes from 1.451 million tonnes. (Reporting by Prashant Mehra; )
