BULAWAYO, Aug 17 (Reuters) - South Africa beat Zimbabwe by 93 runs in the first one-day international at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Sunday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series:

South Africa 309-3 off 50 overs (H. Amla 122 not out, Q. De Kock 63, F. Du Plessis 59)

Zimbabwe 216 in 49.5 overs (H. Masakadza 61, S. Williams 51; A. Phangiso 3-43, Imran Tahir 3-44) (Compiled By Nick Said in Cape Town)
