Sri Lanka win toss, elect to bat in final India ODI

COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lanka skipper Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and chose to bat first in the fifth and final one-day international against India on Friday.

Both teams made three changes each for the inconsequential game. The visitors took an unassailable 3-1 lead by winning the fourth match.

Sri Lanka left out batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan and bowlers Chaminda Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan and included batsmen Mahela Udawatte and Jehan Mubarak and fast bowler Dilhara Fernando.

India rested bowlers Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar and batsman Subramaniam Badrinath and included all-rounder Irfan Pathan and bowlers RP Singh and Pragyan Ojha.

India - Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain/wk), Irfan Pathan, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, RP Singh, Pragya Ojha, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel.

Sri Lanka - Mahela Jayawardene (captain), Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara (wk), Chamara Kapugedera, Malinda Warnapura, Jehan Mubarak, Mahela Udawatte, Dilhara Fernando, Nuwan Kulasekara, Thilan Thushara, Ajantha Mendis.
