England win toss, bowl in final ODI v South Africa

CARDIFF (Reuters) - England won the toss and chose to bowl first in the day-night fifth and final one-day international against South Africa at Cardiff following a two-hour delay because of rain.

Match officials announced that the game will now be 43 overs per side, instead of the usual 50, because of the poor weather and will start at 1530GMT. Three bowlers can bowl a maximum of nine overs and two can bowl a maximum of eight.

England, seeking a series sweep to go to second in the world rankings, named the same team that went 4-0 up at Lord's on Sunday.

"We are going to try to keep the pressure on South Africa so let's see what happens," England captain Kevin Pietersen told Sky Sports. "There is a huge incentive for the lads today and we are up for the challenge."

South Africa, who started the series looking to topple world champions Australia from the number one position, brought in Justin Ontong for all-rounder Vernon Philander.
