DHAKA (Reuters) - The first day's play in the second and final test between Bangladesh and New Zealand has been washed out by steady rain over the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Saturday.

Play was scheduled to start at 0300 GMT on Sunday with a 30 minute extension added to the remaining four days of the test to help make up for some of the lost time, a Bangladesh Cricket Board official told reporters.

New Zealand lead the two-match series 1-0 after securing a three-wicket victory in the opening match in Chittagong on Tuesday.
