India's Nalco issues sale tender for alumina
MUMBAI, March 2 (Reuters) - India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) (NALU.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) issued a tender on Monday to sell alumina, the company website showed.
A senior official in the company, who asked not to be named, added the tender was for the sale of 10,000 tonnes of alumina for shipment in March.
NALCO's tenders serve as an international benchmark for prices.
The company last sold alumina at the end of February at $191.13 a tonne, the company official had said at the time. (Reporting by Ruchira Singh)
