Indian shares rise 0.6 pct; Reliance up 1 pct
MUMBAI, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Indian shares rose 0.6 percent in early trade on Monday, led by gains in energy giant Reliance Industries (RELI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) that rose after an Economic Times report it was close to announcing a major overseas buy. [ID:nBOM396979]
At 9:55 a.m. (0425 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.59 percent at 16,253.97 points, with 29 components advancing.
Reliance Industries was up 1 percent at 1,976.70 rupees.
The 50-share NSE Index .NSEI was up 0.5 percent at 4,820.60. (Reporting by Ami Shah)
