 Nov 09(Reuters) - Following is the weather report detailed by
India Main weather observations (Recorded during past 24
hours):

* Maximum temperatures are above normal by 3-50C over
Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch and Vidarbha; by 2-40C over
Konkan & Goa, Gujarat region, central, east and northeast
India. They are below normal by 2-50C over parts of south
peninsular India. They are near normal over the rest parts of
the country.
* Minimum temperatures are above normal by 5-70C over many
parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat region, north Andhra Pradesh,
Vidarbha and central India. They are above normal by 3-40C over
Saurashtra & Kutch, parts of interior Maharashtra, east India
and remaining parts of northwest India. They are near normal
over remaining parts of the country.
* Light to moderate rainfall has occurred at a few places
over northwest India.
* Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated
heavy to very heavy falls occurred over south peninsular
India.
* Chief amounts of rainfall  recorded at 0830 hours IST of
today are: Kavali-12, Nellore-11, Puducherry-8, Cuddalore &
Thiruvananthapuram-6 each, Tiruchirapalli & Chennai-5 each,
Amini Divi & Tirupathi-4 each and Karaikal, Nagapattinam,
Pamban & Ananthapur-3 each. Synoptic features & Guidance (based
on 0830 hrs IST Observations):

  * The well marked low pressure area over Lakshadweep area and
neighbourhood with associated upper air cyclonic circulation
extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level persists. It is
likely to concentrate into a depression during next 12 hours.
  *  A western disturbance as an upper air system is affecting
northwest India. Numerical weather prediction (NWP) Guidance:

 * The system over southeast Arabian Sea is likely to intensify
further and move in a north-northwesterly direction. Latest
Satellite Guidance: -------------------------
 * KALPANA-1 cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective
clouds over parts of southeast & eastcentral Arabian Sea, south
Bay of Bengal, south Andhra Pradesh, coastal areas of Karnataka
& Kerala, Lakshadweep and Jammu & Kashmir. Low /medium clouds
are seen over Himachal Pradesh and remaining parts of
peninsular India. Major features of weather forecast (upto 0830
hours IST of 12th November, 2009):

 * Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy
to very heavy falls are likely over extreme south Peninsular
India during next 24 hours and decrease thereafter.
 * Fairly widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy to
very heavy falls is also likely over Maharashtra & Goa during
next 3 days. Scattered rain /thundershowers also likely over
West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan from 12th.
 * Scattered to fairly widespread rain/snow over western
Himalayan region till tomorrow. Warning:(Valid for the next 2

 * Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil
Nadu, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep during
next 24 hours.
 * Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Coastal
Karnataka, Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra during next 48
hours.
 * Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea along west
coast. Weather Outlook (upto 0830 hours IST of 14th November,
