 Apr 12 (Reuters) - Following is the weather report detailed
by India Meteorological Department.
 CHIEF FEATURES
 (Based on 0830 hours IST observations)
 Under the influence of a western disturbance, scattered
precipitation is likely over western Himalayan region during
next 24 hours and decrease thereafter. Isolated
rain/thundershowers is also likely over the adjoining northern
plains and north Rajasthan during next 24 hrs. The maximum
temperatures are likely fall around 2°C over the plains of
northwest India and Rajasthan during next 24 hrs. and no
significant change thereafter for subsequent 2 days.
 Under the influence of a lower level cyclonic circulation
now located over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and
neighbourhood, scattered to fairly widespread
rain/thundershower is likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal &
Sikkim and northeastern states during next 2-3 days.
 In association with a low level cyclonic circulation over
Commorin area, scattered rain/thundershower likely over extreme

 Rain/thundershowers likely at a few places over Jammu &
Kashmir during next 24 hours and isolated thereafter. Isolated
rain/thundershowers likely over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand,
Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh including Delhi and West Uttar
Pradesh during next 48 hours.
EAST INDIA
[EAST UP, JHARKHAND, BIHAR, ORISSA, WEST BENGAL & SIKKIM]
Rain/thundershower is likely at a few places over
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim.  Isolated
rain/thundershowers likely over Gangetic West Bengal and north
Orissa. Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
 NORTHEAST INDIA
 [Arunachal Pradesh, NMM & T, Assam, Meghalaya,]
 Rain/thundershower is likely at a few places over Arunachal
Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya during next 24 hours and increase
thereafter. Isolated rain/thundershowers likely over Nagaland,
Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during next 24 hours and at a few
places thereafter.
 SOUTH INDIA
 [TN, AP, KERALA, KARNATAKA, LAKSHADWEEP, ANDAMAN & NICOBAR
ISLANDS]
 Rain/thundershower is likely at a few places over Nicobar
Islands, south Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Isolated
rain/thundershowers likely over north Tamil Nadu and Andaman
Islands. Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
 WEST INDIA
 [GOA, MAHARASHTRA (OTHER THAN VIDARBHA), GUJARAT,
RAJASTHAN]
 Isolated rain/thundershowers likely over north Rajasthan.
Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
 CENTRAL INDIA
 [M.P., CHHATTISGARH, VIDARBHA]
 Mainly dry weather is likely over the region.
  Outlook from 0830 IST of 17th  April, 2008 to  0830 IST of
16th April, 2008

  Another western disturbance is likely to affect western
Himalayan region. Decrease in rainfall activity over
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and northeastern states.
