Nov  07(Reuters) - Following is the weather report detailed by
India Main weather observations (Recorded during past 24
hours):

 * Minimum temperatures are above normal by 4-60C over many
parts of Rajasthan and central India; by 3-50C over Gujarat,
Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and parts of
east India; by 2-30C over some parts of interior south
peninsula. They are near normal over the rest parts of the
country.
 * Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall activity occurred
over Tamil Nadu, south Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep and
south Karnataka. Chief amounts of rainfall (? 4 cm) recorded at
0830 hours IST of today are: Kavali-25, Chennai (AP),
Cuddalore-11 each, Agathi-10, Nellore, Chennai (City)-9 each,
Waltair-8, Puducherry-7, Tirupathi, Karaikal-5 each, Kozhikode
and Nagapattinam-4 each. Synoptic features & Guidance (based on
1430 hrs IST Observations):

 * The well marked low pressure area over comorin area and
neighbourhood persists. The system is likely to move in a
north-northwesterly direction and concentrate into a depression
during next 2-3 days. Numerical weather prediction (NWP)
Guidance: -------------------------------------------
* The well marked low pressure area is likely to concentrate
into a depression around 10th and move north-northwestwards.
* Western disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan
region on 8th & 9th.Latest Satellite Guidance:
* KALPANA-1 cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective
clouds over parts of southeast Arabian Sea, south & westcentral
Bay of Bengal, Coastal areas of Tamil Nadu & south Coastal
Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Comorin area. Low /medium clouds are
seen over Jammu & Kashmir and remaining parts of south
peninsular India. Major features of weather forecast (upto 1430
hours IST of 10th November, 2009):

 * Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated
heavy to very heavy falls are likely over south Peninsular
India. The rainfall belt is likely to extend into Maharashtra &
Goa and adjoining Gujarat from 9th onwards.
 * Scattered rain/snow over western Himalayan region from
tomorrow onwards.
 * Rise in minimum temperatures is likely over parts of
northwest and south peninsular India during next 2-3 days.

 * Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over
Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep during next 48 hours.
 * Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over south coastal
Andhra Pradesh. Weather Outlook (upto 1430 hours IST of 12th
