 July 04(Reuters) - Following is the weather report detailed
by India.
Monsoon Watch
  Monsoon is vigorous along the west coast and over Assam &
Meghalaya.
  Rainfall has occurred at most places over Konkan & Goa,
Coastal Karnataka and at many places over interior Karnataka,
Kerala, West Bengal & Sikkim, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand
and Vidarbha during past 24 hours. Chief amounts of rainfall
(?5 cm) are: Dahanu-25, Cherrapunji-19, Ratnagiri-18, Panjim,
Marmagoa, Shirali-14, Agumbe-13, Honavar, Bulsar-11,
Panambur-10, Mangalore-9, Karwar, Harnai-7, Lucknow,
Madikeri-6, Veraval, Kozhikode, Long Island, Daltonganj,
Bankura-5 each.
Main Features (based on 0530 hrs IST Observations)
Under the influence of an off-shore trough extending from
Konkan coast to Kerala coast, widespread rainfall activity with
heavy to very heavy falls at a few places is likely along west
coast during next 3-4 days.
Current meteorological analysis and numerical weather
prediction models suggest, widespread rainfall activity with
isolated heavy to very heavy falls over West Bengal & Sikkim,
Orissa and northeastern States during next 3-4 days.
 KALPANA-1 Cloud Imagery at 0830 hours IST shows, convective
clouds over south & east Arabian Sea, northwest, westcentral &
parts of southeast Bay of Bengal, north Andaman Sea, Coastal
Karnataka and Konkan & Goa. Low/medium clouds are seen over
parts of Western Himalayan Region, Madhya Pradesh, east,
northeast and Peninsular India.

Pradesh.
Isolated rain/thundershowers over the rest region.
EAST INDIA
[JHARKHAND, BIHAR, ORISSA, WEST BENGAL & SIKKIM]
Rain/thundershowers at many places over the region.
NORTHEAST INDIA
[Arunachal Pradesh, NMM& T,  Assam, Meghalaya,]
Rain/thundershowers at most places over the region.
SOUTH INDIA
[TN, AP, KERALA,, KARNATAKA, LAKSHADWEEP, ANDAMAN & NICOBAR
ISLANDS]
Rain/thundershowers at most places over Coastal Karnataka,
Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Rain/thundershowers at many places over interior Karnataka,
Coastal Andhra Pradesh and    Telangana.
Rain/thundershowers at a few places over the rest region.
WEST INDIA
[KONKAN & GOA, MARATHAWADA, MADHYA MAHARASHTRA, GUJARAT
REGION, SAURASHTRA & KUTCH] Rain/thundershowers at most places
over Konkan & Goa.  Rain/thundershowers at many places over
Madhya Maharashtra, Saurashtra and south Gujarat region.
Rain/thundershowers at a few places over the rest region.
CENTRAL INDIA
[M.P, CHHATTISGARH, VIDARBHA]
Rain/thundershowers at many places over the region.
Warning:  (Valid for next 48 hours)
  Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places over Konkan &
Goa and coastal Karnataka with isolated extremely heavy falls
(? 25 cm.) over Konkan & Goa.
  Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over northeastern
States, West Bengal & Sikkim, Orissa, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Weather Outlook from  0830 hrs IST of 07th July to 0830 hrs
IST of 9th  July, 2009:
Widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very
heavy falls over west coast and northeastern states.
Fairly widespread rainfall activity over central & east
India. Note: 'TRACE' means that rain fell but there was not
