Nagpur, Nov 04 (Reuters) - Prices of soyabean oil
skyrocketed again in Vidarbha region on Western Maharashtra due
to stockists buying triggered by a surge in oil prices in
global market. This edible oil was in keen demand among
vanaspati millers and retailers on account of the festive
season. Fresh rise in Madhya Pradesh oil prices and reported
demand from South and North-based traders also boosted prices,
sources said Wednesday.

VIDARBHA MARKETS

OILS

* Cottonseed, Groundnut loose, Groundnut refined, Sunflower
refined,

Linseed, Castor, Rapeseed and Coconut KP oil prices ruled
steady on

sluggish demand from retailers as well as bulk consumers.

* Traders expect further rise in Soyabean oil in Vidarbha.

SOYMEAL

* Prices today zoomed up again on increased buying support
from South-

based traders amid short-supply from local crushing
plants. About four

dollar per tonne hike in American soymeal prices also
boosted sentiment.

SOYABEAN

* Soyabean prices in the Nagpur Agriculture Produce and
Marketing Committee

(APMC) showed firm tendency on good buying support from
local crushing

Plants amid restricted supply from producing region.
Sharp rise in

soyabean oil & soymeal, good demand from South-based
crushing plants and

upward trend in Madhya Pradesh soyabean prices also
boosted prices in

Vidarbha. Reports about low output in America also
boosted sentiment,

activating stockists.

* High moisture content (about 17 per cent) soyabean was
available at Rs

19,100 per tonne in Nagpur.

* About 40,000 bags reported for auction in major soya
mandi in Vidarbha,

sources said Wednesday.
