India soybean seen down on Malaysian palm, supplies
MUMBAI, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Indian soybean futures may fall on Friday tracking sharp falls in palm oil futures in Malaysia and on hopes output may jump to record levels in the year ending September 2009, analysts said.
At 9:38 a.m. December palm oil futures KPOZ8 on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange fell over 6 percent to 1,964 ringgit a tonne.
However, losses may be limited after Wednesday's sharp fall when soybean November futures NSBX8 fell 3.36 percent to 1,825 rupees per 100 kg.
The markets were closed on Thursday on account of a holiday.
India's soybean output may touch a record 10.82 million tonnes on higher per hectare yield and a rise in the total acreage, a leading trade body said on Tuesday. See [ID:nBOM160398] (Reporting by Abhishek Shanker; Editing by Harish Nambiar)
