India soybean futures up on global cues, crude oil
MUMBAI, July 4 (Reuters) - Indian soybean futures opened up on Friday tracking a rally in soybean futures on Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), which got a boost from record crude oil prices, analysts said.
At 11:02 a.m., soybean August futures NSBQ8 on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange edged up 0.09 percent to 2,767 rupees per 100 kg.
Soybean futures on the Chicago Board of Trade touched a new high of $16.63 a bushel during electronic trade on Friday.
The soybean prices may be impacted by profit-taking later in the day following sowing operations, which picked up in the growing regions. The latest sowbean sowing figures will be released later on Friday.
The September rapeseed contract NRSU8 eased 0.11 percent to 683.55 rupees per 20 kg. (Reporting by Abhishek Shanker and Rajendra Jadhav; editing by Sunil Nair)
