Indian banks raise 26.95 bln rupees via CDs
MUMBAI, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Indian banks on Tuesday raised 26.95 billion rupees via Certificates of Deposit, Thomson Reuters data showed.
HDFC Bank (HDBK.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) raised 21.95 billion rupees in two tranches. It sold 16.95 billion rupees of three-month notes yielding 3.50 percent and 5 billion rupees of 5.28 percent one-year notes.
IDBI Bank (IDBI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) sold 2 billion rupees of 5.40 percent one-year notes.
State Bank of Hyderabad sold 2 billion rupees of 5 percent notes maturing Aug. 20, 2010.
Axis Bank (AXBK.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) sold 1 billion rupees of 5.46 percent one-year notes.
The yield on the Reuters benchmark 3-month CD <0#INCDBMK=> was unchanged at Monday's 3.50 percent, and secondary volumes rose to 6.1 billion rupees from 2.75 billion rupees the previous session.
