Eicher Motors July sales slip 22 pct to 1,850 units

MUMBAI, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Commercial vehicles maker Eicher Motors Ltd (EICH.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) on Wednesday said it sold 1,850 units in July, down 21.7 percent from a year ago.

Domestic sales for July fell 24.5 percent to 1,690 units, the company said in a statement.

However, exports for the month grew 24 percent to 160 units.

Ahead of the announcement, Eicher Motors shares ended at 270.10 rupees, up 1.6 percent in a firm Mumbai market.
