India to provide resources to boost demand-finmin
NEW DELHI, Feb 20 (Reuters) - India's government will provide additional resources to stimulate demand and more help to key sectors such as housing, infrastructure and real estate, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said on Friday.
Asked whether the government is considering a further stimulus package, Mukherjee said: "Adequate resources will be provided." He did not give any details.
In its interim budget for 2009/10, the government did not provide for any fiscal stimulus, disappointing financial markets. (Reporting by Manoj Kumar; Editing by Mark Williams & Rohini Ananthan)
