BRIEF-Cricket-Tardy Windies fined for slow over-rate
NEW DELHI, June 27 (Reuters) - West Indies have been fined for a slow over-rate in the 20-run defeat to India in the first one-day international in Jamaica on Friday.
Skipper Chris Gayle was fined 20 percent of his match fee and the other players 10 percent each after the home team were ruled two overs short of target at Kingston, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said in a statement on Saturday.
The second game of the four-match series will also be played at Sabina Park, Kingston on Sunday. (Reporting by N.Ananthanarayanan, Editing by John O'Brien; To comment on this story email sportsfeedback@thomsonreuters.com)
