DAWN

-- Peshawar went through yet another day of bloodbath on Thursday, when two strikes, within a span of 14 hours, left 22 people dead.

-- Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has disclosed the name of his wife has figured on the list of beneficiaries of an amnesty law, commonly known as National Reconciliation Ordinance, and promised to resign if the charge was proved.

THE NEWS

-- President Asif Ali Zardari has asked the United States to take Pakistan on board regarding its policy on Afghanistan, as it would have a direct impact on Pakistan.

-- Thirteen militants, including two foreigners, and four soldiers were killed in strikes by jet fighters and clashes between the security forces and the militants in Bajaur tribal region on Thursday.

-- The National Assembly's standing committee on human rights was told on Thursday that American nationals were purchasing land in the suburbs of the capital, Islamabad, which could be conspiracy to besiege the country's nuclear assets.   Continued...
