Blast kills 10 civilians in southern Afghanistan

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Aug 23 (Reuters) - A roadside bomb killed 10 civilians in the southern province of Kandahar on Saturday, the provincial police chief said.

The attack took place in the Shah Wali Kot district to the north of the city of Kandahar, police chief Matiullah told reporters. (Reporting by Mirwais Afghan; Writing by Jonathon Burch; Editing by Catherine Evans)
