Pakistan tells army to "eliminate" militants
ISLAMABAD, May 7 (Reuters) - Pakistan ordered more troops into a battle with Taliban forces in a valley to the northwest of the capital Islamabad on Thursday and said they would wipe out the insurgents.
"The armed forces have been called in to eliminate the militants and terrorists," Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said in a televised address. (Editing by Robert Birsel and Angus MacSwan)
