OPEC Sec Gen says U.S. oil demand picking up
VIENNA, May 28 (Reuters) - OPEC Secretary-General Abdullah al-Badri said on Thursday demand had started to pick up in the United States, the world's largest energy consumer.
"At this time, we are seeing the United States picking up. But above all, which is the most important, we are seeing demand in China and India and Asia as a whole," Badri told Reuters Financial Television.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries decided at a meeting in Vienna on Thursday to keep oil output targets unchanged. (Reporting by Jane Grieve in Vienna; writing by David Sheppard in London; editing by Christopher Johnson)
