ASH, England, May 29 (Reuters) - Unheralded Michael Lorenzo-Vera grabbed a share of the lead as three French musketeers stole the show in the European Open second round on Friday.
Lorenzo-Vera and Indian Jeev Milkha Singh hit matching 69s to set the pace on eight-under-par 136, one ahead of birthday boy Anthony Wall of Britain (69) and France's Christian Cevaer (70).
The shot of the day belonged to 27-year-old Frenchman Gregory Bourdy who recorded the second hole-in-one of the tournament to return a 70 for 141.
The former Mallorca Classic and Portuguese Open champion matched Briton John Bickerton's ace on Thursday at the 194-yard, par-three third when he used a five-iron at the same hole. Continued...
