MANILA, Nov 9 (Reuters) - The Philippines, the world's largest rice buyer, is back in the market next month to buy another 600,000 tonnes of rice to boost supplies after typhoons hit farmlands.

Here are tenders held by NFA since December 2007 when it began securing rice imports for 2008, the year when the Philippines purchased a record 2.3 million tonnes, helping send grain prices to record levels. DATE OF TENDER QUANTITY AWARDED SPECS PRICE (C&F) ORIGIN

The prices for some 2008 purchases were averaged.
Of the total 1.775 million tonnes rice that the Philippines imported for 2009, 1.5 million tonnes was secured via a government-to-government arrangement with Vietnam at $549.50 a tonne, C&F, while private firms brought in the remaining 200,000 tonnes.
The rice volume tendered in November 2009 is scheduled for arrival between January and April 2010. (Reporting by Manolo Serapio Jr.; Editing by Clarence Fernandez)
