Pakistani call rates trade between 28 to 32 pct
KARACHI, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Pakistani call money rates traded between 28 and 32 percent in noon trade on Monday, dealers said.
There were reports that call rates went as high as 52 percent on Saturday, though that was after a three-day national holiday to mark the Muslim festival of Eid al-Fitr. On Tuesday call rates closed at 22 to 24 percent
After averaging around 13 to 15 percent, call rates rose dramatically to due to a liquidity crunch resulting from Pakistan's chronic balance of payment deficit. (Reporting by Sahar Ahmed; Editing by Simon Cameron-Moore)
