LME tin falls 6 percent as metals slip after US vote

SINGAPORE, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Tin prices fell more than 6 percent on the London Metal Exchange, along with most other markets after U.S. lawmakers voted against a $700 billion plan to rescue financial markets from a deep freeze.

London Metal Exchange tin MSN3 fell $1,120 or 6.3 percent in electronic dealing to $16,680, its weakest since September 18.

Other metals also weakened, with copper MCU3 down 2.1 percent after falling 5 percent in the previous session, while lead MPB3 shed 5 percent. (Reporting by Nick Trevethan; Editing by Anshuman Daga)
