NEW DELHI/SINGAPORE, Aug 20 (Reuters) - India's Reliance Industries has delayed export of at least one gasoline cargo and cut liquefied petroleum gas sales due a problem at its fluidised catalytic cracking unit (FCCU), oil trade sources told Reuters on Wednesday.

"Their FCCU is down since August 14 ... and they have said supplies would be less for 15 days," said a source at Indian Oil Corp (IOC.BO: Quote, Profile, Research), which buys LPG for state refiners from Reliance's (RELI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) 660,000 barrels per day (bpd) refinery.

The 220,000-240,000 bpd FCCU at the Jamnagar refinery in the western state of Gujarat is one of the biggest in the world.

A Reliance spokesman declined comment.

A trade source said Reliance had delayed shipment of at least one gasoline cargo by about seven days due to the glitch.

"There is definitely some problems with the FCCU. They have sold some vacuum gas oil (VGO) in the last few days," said another trader.

VGO serves as the feedstock for producing gasoline and LPG in an FCCU.   Continued...
