Shanghai aluminium falls by limit as metals crumble

SINGAPORE, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Shanghai aluminium futures fell by their 4 percent limit on Friday, after copper and zinc plunged by their thresholds, as investors fled metals amid concerns of a sharp downturn in the global economy. Shanghai's benchmark aluminium contract SAFc3 fell 565 yuan to 13,490 yuan at 0130 GMT, London Metal Exchange Futures dropped $17 to $2,290.
