Beaming Button hails outrageous car

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Jenson Button's smile was as broad as the Bosphorus for lap after lap of Sunday's Turkish Grand Prix.

When the runaway Formula One leader stood on the podium, wiping away the sweat and champagne after an astonishing sixth victory in seven races, he had tears in his eyes and a sense of utter exhilaration.

It was a race the Brawn driver said he almost wished would never end.

"I could have carried on driving for another 200 laps because I was enjoying myself so much in that car," he told a news conference.

"Even 10 or 15 laps in, I thought it's probably not a good idea but I really wanted to radio in to the team and say this car is just outrageous.

"But it was tempting fate a little and I left it to the end of the race."

As he crossed the line, Button let it all pour out.

"You have built me a monster of a car, you guys are absolute legends," he yelled over the team radio.
