Europe shares set to track Asian, U.S. bounce
LONDON, July 9 (Reuters) - Major European stock indexes are seen opening more than 1 percent higher on Wednesday, according to financial bookmakers, tracking a bounce in Asian and U.S. equities. U.S. and Asian stocks rebounded overnight from recent heavy losses as a pullback in oil prices eased worries about consumer and business spending, while the financial sector took heart after the U.S. Federal Reserve chairman said he may keep open a lifeline for banks.
Financial bookmakers, or spreadbetters, saw Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE, Germany's DAX .GDAXI and France's CAC-40 .FCHI all rising as much as 1.2 percent after a 1.5-percent fall on the pan-European FTSEurofirst in the previous session. (Reporting by Rebekah Curtis)
