GOLDMAN SACHS GROUP INC (GS.N: Quote, Profile, Research)

Goldman Sachs Bank USA, a New York-based bank subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Group, has added three new members to its board. The new members are Matthew Barrett, most recently chief executive officer of Barclays PLC (BARC.L: Quote, Profile, Research); Ann Kaplan, previously a general partner at Goldman Sachs & Co and now an adjunct professor of finance at Columbia University School of Business; and also Thomas Melzer, co-founder and managing director of venture capital firm RiverVest Venture Partners.

STANADRD CHARTERED PLC (STAN.L: Quote, Profile, Research) (2888.HK: Quote, Profile, Research)

The Asia-focused bank named John Peace as its chairman on Thursday, prompting him to step down as chairman of financial data company Experian (EXPN.L: Quote, Profile, Research).
