Deutsche Bank names Soni India fund unit CEO
MUMBAI, July 8 (Reuters) - Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) appointed Suresh Soni as chief executive of its Indian fund unit on Tuesday, the firm said in a statement.
He assumes the responsibility in addition to his current role as chief investment officer of Deutsche Asset Management (India) Pvt Ltd which managed $2.6 billion as of June, the firm said.
Soni takes over from Vijay Mantri who has left the firm to join the mutual fund venture of U.S. life insurer Prudential Financial Inc (PRU.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and India's most valuable real estate firm DLF (DLF.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) as chief executive.
